MVA 5G: Rambo Amadeus has an unusual voting message, support the young!

Shocking, exclusive, alarming, unexpected... Rambo Amadeus is once again doing what he does best: surprising, provoking and entertaining. This time, the occasion is the nomination of his music video “Urbano Glam Trash Cover” in the Balkan Beat category at the Muzzik Video Awards 5G. But his video message comes with an unexpected twist: don't vote for him, vote for the young!

Rambo describes his latest musical adventure as Next Generation Turbo Folk, a glam trash reworking of his legendary song “Urbano”, originally featured on the album “Transhumanizam i renesansa”. After years of musical surfing through fusion, funk, jazz, rock, rap, poetry, opera and many other genres, he is returning to what he calls his carefree roots. The result is a witty, deliberately over-the-top combination of sound and visuals that plays with turbo-folk aesthetics while imagining the music of the future.

The audio production is by Saša Ranković, while the video was created by video artist Sergej Seferović, also associated with AiDreaMedia.

But Rambo would not be Rambo if he simply asked audiences to vote for his own video. Instead of turning the nomination into a self-promotional campaign, he uses it to draw attention to a new generation of musicians and creative talents. His message is simple but meaningful: MVA 5G is not just an opportunity to celebrate established names, but also a platform for recognising, supporting and encouraging young artists.

So, watch Rambo's video message and support the next generation of musicians at MVA 5G!
