180 nominated music videos • 18 categories • only three categories remain until the full selection is complete
With today's announcement of another 30 music videos, MVA – Muzzik Video Awards for Five Generations enters the final stage of its nomination marathon. A total of 180 nominated works across 18 of the 21 competition categories have now been revealed, along with the contenders for 18 specially designed Muzzik Guitars. The complete lineup will be finalized with one last announcement featuring the remaining three categories and 30 nominated videos.
MVA was conceived as a video awards platform for Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials, Generation Z and Generation Alpha. It brings together legendary artists, today's leading regional names and emerging creators, treating the music video as a form of short auteur cinema.
Since the beginning of the summer video marathon, nominations have been announced in the categories Art Direction, Together, EDM, Animated Video, Rock, Balkan Beat, Cover Video, Funky Groove, Cinematography, Hip Hop, Choreography, Fusion, Direction, R&B and New Artist. With today's additions—Pop, Message Video and Editing & FX—the number of announced award categories has grown to 18.
The new selection highlights three distinct perspectives on the regional music video scene. Pop brings together memorable songs and performers spanning several generations. Message Video recognizes videos that use music to address social, environmental, generational and other important issues. Editing & FX celebrates the creative minds behind the screen—the editors and visual effects artists whose work gives music videos their unique rhythm, visual identity and artistic signature.
