The Rolling Stones have released new single 'Jealous Lover', along with a music video directed by Chris Barrett and Luke Taylor, known for their work with acts such as Radiohead and Jack White, and starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Charles Melton. The single is the latest release from their forthcoming studio album 'Foreign Tongues', out July 10 via Polydor/Universal Music.
The single "Jealous Lover" comes alongside another track from the upcoming album - "Divine Intervention", one of two tracks on the album featuring The Cure frontman Robert Smith.

As anticipation for the album continues to build, "Jealous Lover" provides another striking example of the band's remarkable ability to move between different musical styles with ease. Following the bright pop-rock energy of previous single "In The Stars", the new track delivers a soulful R&B groove, backed by lead vocalist Mick Jagger's catchy falsetto.
Drawing on the band's long association with rhythm and blues, "Jealous Lover" blends infectious melodies, rich musicianship and sharp lyrical observations. Jagger delivers a clear warning to the over-inquisitive lover, injecting humor, attitude and vivid imagery into the song's narrative.
The song is driven by the expressive guitar work of Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood, whose subtle interweavings carry its melodic character. The rhythm section, consisting of Darryl Jones on bass and Steve Jordan on drums and percussion, provides a deep and assured groove, while longtime friend and collaborator Steve Winwood adds the distinctive textures of Rhodes piano and organ. Additional instruments from producer Andrew Watt and keyboardist Matt Clifford further enrich the song's warm, soulful sound.
"Jealous Lover" highlights the chemistry and creativity that continues to define The Rolling Stones, more than six decades after their career began, blending classic influences with a fresh and contemporary approach.

Foreign Tongues, out July 10 via Polydor Records (Universal Music group), is an incredibly colorful 14-song collection, coming less than three years after the universally acclaimed and Grammy-winning Hackney Diamonds, which topped the charts around the world and achieved multi-platinum success.
Recorded during a highly creative period, Foreign Tongues was created in less than a month at Metropolis Studios in West London, where Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood reunited with Grammy-winning producer Andrew Watt, who also worked on the Hackney Diamonds album.
Featuring the extraordinary skills of Jagger, Richards and Wood, the release features contributions from regular collaborators Darryl Jones, Matt Clifford and Steve Jordan, and features a special recording of Charlie Watts, made during one of his last visits to the studio before his death in 2021.
Adding to the charm of the album was an impressive list of guest artists, including Steve Winwood, Paul McCartney, Robert Smith of The Cure and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
