Multi-platinum singer-songwriter and GRAMMY award winner, Olivia Rodrigo, has released her third studio album, "you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love", on Geffen Records (Universal Music Group).
Along with the album, Rodrigo released the official music video for the new song "stupid song". Directed by Mitch Ryan and shot in New York, the video was choreographed by her and features prima ballerina Tyler Peck, along with other dancers from the NYC Ballet and American Ballet Theater.
The first single from the album, "drop dead", made Olivia Rodrigo the first person ever to have her first three singles from her first three albums debut at #1 on the Billboard charts. The second single from the album, "the cure", also reached #1 on several Billboard charts, including Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, Hot Alternative Songs, and Alternative Digital Song Sales.
Last month, Olivia Rodrigo performed at Spotify's Billions Club Live event, marking the milestone of nine songs surpassing one billion streams each, cementing her place among the most streamed artists on Spotify.
Rodrigo also made a surprise appearance at the Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona, where she premiered her new song "what's wrong with me", featuring Robert Smith of The Cure.
Olivia Rodrigo recently announced The Unraveled Tour, which kicks off in September and will be joined by Wolf Alice, The Last Dinner Party, Devon Again, Grace Ives and Die Spitz at select shows. Tickets sold out at the speed of light worldwide with over a million tickets sold, and new dates were added due to overwhelming demand, breaking several attendance records. The tour was originally announced with four dates in Brooklyn, but was quickly expanded to include a massive 10-show residency at the Barclays Center. Rodrigo also set the record for most appearances at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, reaching a historic 10 dates and setting a new standard for the venue.
