In his well-known genre selection that unites blues and rock, Despot Tomić delivers a single that celebrates the author's versions of memories, because as he says, the bare truth would be boring. The single released by BHRT Music Production is available on all streaming platforms.
Despot Tomić is the author of all components of the song. The song is about memories, time and the traces we leave behind in a world where nothing completely disappears.
"Today, it is almost impossible to completely disappear from other people's lives. We are left behind digital traces that remember more than our own memory does. These four minutes of songs celebrate exactly that personal, subjective version of memories - the one that the author carries in himself, and not the one recorded in the archives. Because memory is not a fact, but a feeling, and sometimes it is precisely this gentle, told truth that is more beautiful than the literal one."
Despot Tomić is a musician from Mrkonjić Grad who has been living and creating in Vienna for the past few years. He started playing music from an early age, primarily with his father who plays the guitar. At the age of approximately 17, Tomić began playing the guitar obsessively and progressed rapidly, so that in the same year he began performing on the local stage with his first band Manje Posla. Two years later, Tomić moved to Vienna, where he played in various blues, jazz and rock bands, the longest-lasting of which was Psychedelic Love. He finds his playing inspiration and role models in the greats of blues and rock music, Hendrix, B.B. King and Eric Clapton, while he credits Kurt Cobain, Noel Gallagher and Jeff Buckley as his inspiration. Between the ages of 23 and 25, Tomić writes and composes some of the songs that will later be found on his debut studio album "antiRomeo", which was recorded in 2020 at the Rambo Amadeus studio in Belgrade. Despot's second album was recorded in the studio "Šišmiš" and is called "Dani jutra broje". The third album "Noci dane boje" was published by BHRT Music Production.
