Balming Tiger dives into surreal animation with new single "Janjan"

South Korean alternative collective Balming Tiger has released its latest single "Janjan", accompanied by another wildly imaginative music video that blurs the lines between animation, experimental art and pop culture. Once again, the group proves why it has become one of Asia's most distinctive contemporary music collectives.

The video was directed and animated by Japanese artist Takahashi Riku (DOKUZEN), while San Yawn served as the project's creative director. Filled with surreal imagery, bizarre transformations and playful visual storytelling, the clip perfectly complements the song's hypnotic groove and unpredictable energy.

The track was executive produced by San Yawn, alongside producers bj wnjn, Mudd the student and Leesuho. Songwriting credits go to bj wnjn, Mudd the student, sogumm and San Yawn. The production is further elevated by mixing engineer Nathan Boddy and mastering engineer Norman Nitzsche, giving the song its polished yet adventurous sonic character.

Known for blending hip-hop, alternative pop, electronic music and contemporary visual art, Balming Tiger has built a global reputation for constantly pushing creative boundaries. Following internationally acclaimed releases, including the RM collaboration "Sexy Nukim," the collective continues to expand its unmistakable artistic universe.

With "Janjan," Balming Tiger once again demonstrates that a music video can be every bit as inventive and captivating as the music itself, delivering an audiovisual experience that is impossible to predict and difficult to forget.
