What to do when you have almost 300 peppers at home? THE WORMS have the answer. The Slovenian duo that attracted attention with their unusual appearance, catchy songs and a completely different approach to music presents the new single "Paprika" and announces the album that will arrive at the end of the summer.
If you use TikTok or other social networks, there's a good chance that you didn't miss the viral Slovenian duo GLISTE last year. Their appearance, characteristic masks, unusual songs and infectious energy attracted the attention of the audience who recognized something different in them - a combination of humor, absurdity, creativity and music that is completely their own.
Although they come from Slovenia, GLISTE have found an audience outside the domestic scene with their approach, and this year they are also coming to a regional audience - with a performance at the SHIP festival in Šibenik.
Now they bring a new musical story. And, of course, the main character is not love, but paprika.
Why write another love song when there is pepper?
After the first album Sprehod, GLISTE returns with the new single "Paprika", which once again confirms their ability to find inspiration where no one expects it. This time, inspiration comes from the kitchen, from picnics, from grandma and with homemade cold cuts.
The main stars of the new song are green, yellow and red peppers. Because, as GLISTE say, vegetables that are present at almost every lunch have long deserved their own song.
"The point of all our songs is that people just have fun listening to them."
During the creation of the song Gliste discovered an interesting detail - the color of the pepper indicates its maturity. Green is the least ripe, and red is the ripest. However, with GLIST, the choice is simple.
"Our winner is green. It's not too sweet and has character."

The new single is the first taste of the album that will be released at the end of the summer. This time, the story is more thoughtful, the vision is clearer, and for the first time, GLISTE is taking an even more serious approach to audiences outside Slovenia.
Some of the new songs will be in English, but the foundation of the project remains the same - playfulness, humor and the desire for music to bring people a good mood.
The new release also marks the beginning of cooperation with the MENART team, with which GLISTE is entering its most ambitious creative period to date.
Although their project often provokes numerous reactions on social networks, the duo says that the most important thing for them is the mark they leave on the audience.
"It means the most to us when we see that someone has made their own costume, mask or even started writing their own songs because of us. If we can inspire someone to create, to give them the courage to ignore negative comments, then the project has achieved something much greater."
Almost 300 peppers had to be collected for the video clip of the song "Paprika". Since they do not have their own garden, during the summer they relied on the help of grandmothers, neighbors and stores.
And so, instead of ending up in winter, the peppers got the main role in the video, which remains faithful to GLISTA - colorful, playful and completely unburdened.
The only problem during the recording was that the cameraman is also a big fan of peppers.
"Instead of an hour, we filmed almost the whole day because we ate peppers after each frame. In the end, maybe twenty of them remained out of 300."
If Sprehod presented the world of GLISTE, then "Paprika" opens the door to its next chapter - bigger, more ambitious and still just as wacky.
Because the rule of GLISTE remains simple: if it amuses them, there is a high possibility that it will amuse everyone else.
