Icelandic jazz-pop sensation Laufey presents the single and music video "Madwoman", released on 13 April as part of the deluxe edition of her third studio album "A Matter of Time: The Final Hour". Directed by Warren Fu, the video delivers a visually striking narrative set within a stylised, slightly eerie world inspired by 1970s aesthetics. The video brings together a number of rising names from a younger generation - Alysa Liu, Lola Tung and Megan Skiendiel - who, alongside Laufey, form a symbolic collective, as the story explores the theme of being drawn to someone who is ultimately not good for us. Polished and layered, "Madwoman" examines the illusion of an ideal relationship and its gradual disintegration, with subtle references to identity and belonging. The release of the video follows shortly after Laufey's appearance at the "Coachella festival", where she performed the song live for the first time.
