ZHIVA Releases the First Part of Her New Album, Three Music Videos, and Announces a Concert at Karmakoma on November 12th

Following the video single "Atom," for which she received this year's Milan Mladenović Award, singer-songwriter ZHIVA has released "Nestajem" via Glitch Records, marking the first part of her new album accompanied by three music videos. Conceived as a two-part whole, the album "Nestajem / opstajem" represents a new step in the development of Iva Pažin’s artistic expression, following her previous albums "Preterujem" and "ZHIVA ZDRAVA." She will perform the new songs live on November 12th at Belgrade's Karmakoma club, as well as at previously scheduled performances at Arsenal Fest, Modro i Zeleno, PIN, and SHIP festivals next year.

On her third album, ZHIVA turns toward a harder, rawers, and more direct sound, blending elements of alternative pop, rock, metal, and trip-hop.

"This album is something I am most proud of in my career so far. I have gotten closer to an expression where I can best articulate what I want. I followed the audience's reactions to the song 'Atom,' and I believe they will enjoy the concert just as much as we enjoy performing," says ZHIVA.

The two-part album "Nestajem / opstajem" deals with the transience of time, the fear of being forgotten, and the eternal question of how to live, create, and leave a mark behind. ZHIVA wrote the lyrics and music for all the songs, while Toshi Domaćin continues his collaboration as her musical collaborator and album producer. Guitars were recorded by Marko Jovanović, Nikola Rodić, and Mihailo Vujović from the band Havarija, and drums by Rijad Šuta. The album is accompanied by a series of music videos, with ZHIVA collaborating with a crew consisting of Redžinald Šimek, Almir Zoletić, Emina Kujundžić, Adnan Branković, Naida Đekić, and Toshi Domaćin.

At the upcoming concert at Karmakoma on November 12th, alongside new tracks from "Nestajem / opstajem," ZHIVA will also perform songs from her albums "Preterujem" and "ZHIVA ZDRAVA." The opening DJ set will be handled by Toshi, a producer, composer, and long-time collaborator on ZHIVA's albums, followed by an afterparty featuring a Monsun Live Jungle/DnB Drum Set performed by Bljuzga. Tickets are available in pre-sale via tickets.rs priced at 1,200 dinars.

Iva Pažin ZHIVA has two albums behind her, numerous live performances, and alongside the Milan Mladenović Award, she has received the RUNDA Best New Artist 2024 recognition and was included in the IMPALA and YouTube "100 Artists to Watch" selection.
