Roger Taylor, legendary Queen drummer and songwriter, has released “A Beautiful World”, the opening track and one of the central statements of his new solo album Violence Insane in a Beautiful World, featuring the powerful vocals of South Africa’s Ndlovu Youth Choir. Released on 18 September alongside the full album, the song reflects on the beauty of the natural world while drawing attention to the damage being done to it.
The accompanying video adds a strong visual dimension to the track through a collaboration with renowned eco-design duo VIN + OMI, whose work combines sustainable fashion, recycled materials and innovative uses of plant waste.
The video explores the contrast between the extraordinary beauty of the natural world and its deterioration through human impact. It was directed by VIN + OMI, with production by VIN + OMI and Sarina Taylor for Nightjar Productions Ltd.

The video received its world premiere at VIN + OMI’s Anarchy show, which marked the beginning of British Fashion Week, where Taylor also made his catwalk debut.
“A Beautiful World” is also one of three tracks on the album featuring the Ndlovu Youth Choir from Limpopo, South Africa. Taylor first became aware of the choir through their celebrated Zulu-language version of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”, and invited them to contribute to his new material, saying their performances gave the songs an entirely new dimension.
Taylor wrote the music and lyrics, while production was handled by Taylor and his longtime collaborator Joshua J. Macrae.
