British singer-songwriter Beabadoobee has launched a new chapter of her career with the release of "Sun Has Set", the first single from her upcoming fourth studio album Pylon, due on September 18. The track blends raw emotion with grunge-inspired guitars and '90s alternative rock influences, while its lyrics explore unspoken feelings, resentment, and the need to confront the past.
The accompanying music video was directed by longtime collaborator Jake Erland, who tells a surreal first-person story where reality and the protagonist's inner world constantly blur together. The striking visual perfectly complements the song's tense atmosphere, once again highlighting the creative chemistry between Beabadoobee and Erland.
Following the success of This Is How Tomorrow Moves, which topped the UK Albums Chart in 2024, Beabadoobee's upcoming album promises a return to her alternative roots, drawing inspiration from grunge, emo, and indie rock. The album release will be followed by an extensive international tour later this year.
