"Mrtav čovek" announces the third studio album of the group Šajzerbiterlemon

You can see and hear them at the "Regulacija" festival in Smederevo on June 20, at "Rockstrictija" (Veruša, Montenegro) on July 3, as well as in Prague at "Lajf AID 4 Serbia #5" on September 30

It's been four years since the release of the album "Na dugačkim poljima" and Šajzerbiterlemon is launching "album number three" and it all starts with the single "Mrtav čovek" (joint release of Geenger Records + Pop depression).

After the end of the concert promotion of the second album throughout the region, Šajzerbiterlemon took part in the Hali Gali #2 compilation (2024) with the song "Dok požar okružuje grad", and then a tragedy happened in Novi Sad, a student protest began and the band members threw themselves wholeheartedly into a fight that is much more important than the band itself. That struggle is not over and in some sense it will continue, but some new energy has accumulated and the constant need to play and create songs has reappeared.

"From that accumulated energy, several new songs were created that motivated us to move, once again move the ladder up and try to do some new important things as a band. Personally, during that period it became too difficult for me to talk about everything that was happening to us and to advertise on the networks, although I had so much to say. In the end, I have the impression that everything I felt and everything I wanted to say about this crazy country and no less crazy world fit into the song Mrtav čovek, ” says the group's singer and guitarist Jovan Sibinović.

"Mrtav čovek" is the cry of a man who has nothing to lose, who despite fear is ready to fight to the end, without giving up. Cathartic guitars create a vortex that draws in everyone standing around - "you had a way out and now you have nothing" - and this is followed by a rhythm section that pumps as if its life depended on it. The producer of the song is Andrej Mladenović, who mixed and mastered it. Like everything else Šajzers do, the video is intense and brutal and in total synchronicity with the song.

"In contrast to the intense happenings in society, a large number of people, including me, somehow parallel to that experience an absurdity of everyday life, a series of, for me, meaningless jobs and actions in which we are trapped in the ever-faster whirlwind of the modern age. I tried to convey that captivity in speed and meaninglessness, but also the life energy and strong emotions that we confront this meaninglessness in the music video for the song Mrtav čovek. He raised the whole thing to a much higher level my longtime friend and director of photography Srđan Mančev. The video looks the way it does because of him, but also because of the team of amazing young people who were ready to selflessly share their talent, enthusiasm and creative energy with us. Many great videos have been made for our band in the past ten years, but for me personally, this song and this video are definitely among the most important and favorite ones," Jovan sums up the work on the video.

Šajzerbiterlemon are Jovan Sibinović, Ana Đurović, Konstantin Janković and Marko Obradović. They released two studio albums - "Iza naših zidova" (2019) and "Na dugačkim poljima" (2022), as well as the EP "Šajzerbiterlemon" (2017) In the coming months, they will be back with concert performances and you can see and hear them at the "Regulacija" festival in Smederevo on June 20, at "Rockstrictija" (Veruša, Montenegro) on July 3, as well as in Prague at "Lajf AID 4 Serbia #5" on September 30.
