After the success they achieved with the video single "Svemu dojde kraj" released a year and a half ago, the band Kult from Banja Luka presents a new song and video clip "Hey My Friend (Apartheid)", a powerful musical story that through emotion, symbolism and a direct message tells about the divisions, fear and hatred that have been fueled for years among the peoples of the Balkans.
As of today, the song is available on digital platforms, as well as in CD single format, which also includes the song "Svemu dojde kraj", published by the record company Fidbox.
The appearance of the legendary actor Zika Todorović, who in the video portrays the role of a journalist "with the task" of creating tensions, conflicts and an atmosphere of mistrust among the people of the region, attracts special attention. It is through his character that the spot opens the question of how much propaganda and social divisions have shaped the generations that grew up with the imposed feeling that they are "not the same".

Through the lyrics "Everyone tells me that we are not the same and that I should harm you...", the band Kult sends a clear message against hatred, national divisions and the atmosphere of constant conflict, reminding that fears, emotions and humanity are universal regardless of borders, religion or nation.
The song brings a combination of emotional alternative and modern rock sound, while the minimalistic but powerfully directed music video further enhances the atmosphere and message of the track itself. The visual identity of the project relies precisely on the contrast between the everyday man and the media narrative that shapes him.
The author of the text of the song is Vladimir Modić, while the music is jointly written by Vladimir Modić, Boris Mršić and Mario Rujević. It was recorded in the Belgrade studio "Siena", under the production baton of Vojislav Voja Aralica. An important contribution was also made by guitarist Muris Varajić, whose virtuoso guitar expression has long been a recognizable part of the Kult band's sound.

large number of people participated in the realization of the video, and the band especially singles out director Dejan Grujčić, the author who, with his visual approach, further enhanced the emotion and message of the song. As the Kult members point out, "Dean is to the camera what Muris is to the guitar" — making him not just a collaborator, but an important part of the band's story.
Band Kult builds an authentic expression on the regional scene, combining socially engaged themes with a modern rock sound and a strong author's stamp. The new single "Hey My Friend (Apartheid)" announces a big regional promotion, which starts with a promotion for media representatives and fellow musicians on Saturday, June 6 in Belgrade, at the Sokoj club.
At a time when divisions are loud again, Kult chooses a different path through this song - dialogue, empathy and a reminder that people are much more similar than they are presented to them on a daily basis.
