The legendary Goblini presented the third video from the current album "Live In KST 2", which was released on vinyl, CD and digitally by the production company Long Play. After the long-standing concert trumps "Luna" and "Splet okolnosti", a great cover of Boris Novković's famous ballad "Tamara" was screened, which is also, of course, in a completely different arrangement from the original, well known to regular concertgoers of the famous punk-rock band.
Novković's "sentiš" in Goblini's version also starts slowly, but, as expected, later turns into a real guitar "scatter", with massive silence in the audience. The song selection itself is, to put it mildly, specific, so it's no surprise that the story about this cover is like that.
Frontman Branko Golubović Golub remembers well: "Tamara' is a song we played for the first time back in 1995 at KST. That was the period when we found out that our Alen (guitarist, Jovanović) played with Boris Novković for a while. At that time he also had a girlfriend named Tamara. Backstage at KST, when we played independently for the first time, there were Atheists, a few friends - Ivica Drobac, Zoran Lazarevic, Kiza Batman, the famous KST manager Zlatko Jošić... That's where the famous 'loading' fell, as we call it when we make fun of someone".
According to Golub, the song was then performed completely spontaneously, without any preparation, during the encore.

"It occurred to us to get Alen to sing it, with all of us on backing vocals. Interestingly, 30 years later, when you talk to young people, a lot of them think it's our song. Nobody understands how it never appeared on a studio release, and why we don't play it so much. A lot of people are surprised when they find out that it's a song by Boris Novković. Of course, our generations know it well."
The idea was that Dr. Pop from Atheist Rap, who actually sang "Tamara" in '95, would join the Goblins on stage at last year's concerts in KST. in the same place.
"Unfortunately, he was prevented, as people can see in the video. He contacted us with a video message," revealed Golub as the video actually begins.
Let us remind you that the "Live In KST 2" edition contains selected recordings from two great Goblin concerts, held at the Belgrade Technical Students' Club, KST, in October last year. In this way, 30 years have been marked since the mentioned, first "live" from KST.
The new, big Goblin concert is approaching, scheduled for June 13 in the Port of Belgrade, Open Air Corner, also organized by the Long Play agency. The audience in the capital will be presented with a cross-section of the band's most significant songs and greatest hits, from the 90s to today. The attendees will be warmed up beforehand by Savršeni Marginalci, playing a punk repertoire from the first three albums of Hladno pivo, as well as from the recent debut release of Marginalaci.
