Belgrade soul-jazz wizards Bullet for a Badman present the animated video single "Nezgodan kraj", which is available on YouTube. This is the second single from the album "Vol. 3" and the second video designed by band leader Ivan Simić.
"Zlikovci" released their third studio album in the middle of 2024, and the songs continued their life through regular club gigs and improvisations. "Nezgodan kraj" is an inspired jamming of guitars and brass to a crazy tempo pumped by the rhythm section, with some choral singing and thrillers. And now add to all that the completely dislocated animation.
"I found the initial inspiration from the designer/animator Antonio Sendro (AKA Podenco), I even copied some graphic solutions and of course put it all through my sense of music and animation, which is actually the most important thing," says Ivan Simić, author of the video.
Bullet for a Badman told the story of World War I in "Vol. 3" in a way that the story has never been told. Five people, a dozen instruments, a million ideas, soul, funk, jazz, afrobeat, the Balkans and Serbia and the First World War - all these are the determinants that define the six compositions on "Vol. 3".
The composition consists of Ivan Simić (guitar and tenor saxophone), Milan Simić (bass), Dušan Petrović (baritone saxophone and flute), Petar Milanović (drums and trombone) and Konstantin Sotirovski (trumpet and flugelhorn).
This team has been performing tirelessly for years in clubs, concert halls and festivals and hypnotizes with rhythm, energy and emotions.
