Boy Throb is a new American boy band made up of Evan Papier, Zachary Sobania, Anthony Key, and Darshan Magdum (he is a special part of the group in that he currently lives in India and does not yet have a US visa approved, so he appears in most of their TikTok content via video call or green screen while the rest of the boyfriend is filming in Los Angeles).
The group first gained traction in late 2025 by going viral on TikTok with quirky, engaging videos that quickly gained them a dedicated following. Fans even chose their band name through comments, with Boy Throb ultimately becoming the winning pick.
Their debut single “Finger” was released on December 12, 2025, and is available across all major streaming services. The official music video for the track dropped in late January 2026 and was directed by charlotte rutherford, bringing a polished visual element to their breakout release.
Musically, “Finger” is a catchy pop tune with an upbeat message of self-confidence and resilience in the face of online trolling. The lyrics playfully flip criticism back on the haters, making for an empowering debut statement.
Boy Throb already has a significant online community of followers (over a million on TikTok and hundreds of thousands on Instagram) and their viral posts often include a narrative about how they want to help Darshan get a US visa through the band's growing popularity.
