Darko Rundek and his team premiered and recorded their new single "Rijeka" feat. Marko Marić in front of the Belgrade audience during their performance at the Port of Belgrade.
The song "Rijeka" was created with the creative participation of his wife and environmental activist Sanda Hržić. I wrote it in the midst of the fight for the Una Spring (thanks to the Riverwatch organization for the invitation and commitment) and it was performed there for the first time publicly. Its power is in connecting the river with the existence of a wonderful diversity of life as well as with personal human destiny. The song was recorded at the concert "Uz rijeku za rijeke" in the Port of Belgrade, along the Danube, in front of about 5,000 people, which gives it a special energy. It features the exceptional guitarist Marko Marić as a guest soloist. The video was made by Roko Crnić in collaboration with Sanda Hržić." - said Darko Rundek.
"Rijeka" is a story about movement, belonging and connection, life courses in constant changes that carry us and unite us. The verses of Darko Rundek, through the motifs of water - tributaries, waterfalls and the sea, are the entrance to a space for thinking about the unity of man and nature, about the destiny that everyone carries as their own drop in the great flow of life.
The music is composed by Darko Rundek, while the arrangement was jointly shaped by Igor Pavlica, Ana Kovačić, Silvio Bočić, Miro Manojlović, Roko Crnić, Marko Marić, Darko Rundek and Sanda Hržić. The recording was made live in the Port of Belgrade, Daniel Biffel was the cameraman, Darko Rundek mixed, and Filip Motovunski mastered.
It is particularly interesting for us that the talented multi-instrumentalist, Marko Marić, the brother of Kralj Čačak, is part of the musical story of the Veliki prezir group's new album, which we eagerly expect to be released by Menart Serbia.
