Nenad Marić, known under the stage name Kralj Čačka, one of the most authentic musical authors of the regional scene, released a double studio album "Dobro jutro, ljudi".
With 24 unreleased songs, this release pulsates between cabaret and asphalt, between the intimate revolution and the engaged silence, framing the author's ten-year journey on the edge of blues, jazz and rock and roll.
"We recorded a double album with songs that didn't get the chance to be recorded until now. Some of the songs from the album have already been performed at concerts in recent years. Two songs written for the play 'Michael Koolhaas' are also there. Musically, the album is genre-variegated and covers a wide range from blues and jazz, through country and cabaret, to rock and roll. The songs are also different - from engaged, intimate and confessional, to songs about love". summarizes the work on the album Kralj Čačka.
A large circle of collaborators participated in this most extensive work so far.
Nenad Marić - Kralj Čačka writes music and lyrics, production and arrangements by Marko Marić, with co-production by Srđan Popov. The arrangements for the brass section were made by Ivan Ilić.
The layering of the album was contributed by a number of studios where it was recorded (Downthere studio, Digimedia, Blue Dog, Studio Odiseja, Studio Popov i Filimonović, Ex Nihil), as well as a wider circle of recording artists - Uroš Milkić, Srđan Popov, Bogdan Braković, Danilo and Darko Radović, Tijana Bekčić, Aleksa Telalović, Janko Maraš and Goran Crevar. The visual identity of the album is signed by Dragomir Nikolić, while the photography was done by Mikša Anđelić.
Through years of uncompromising work, Kralj Čačka built a strong author's identity and the status of one of the most important singer-songwriters of his generation. His music, shaped by a personal expression that consistently defies expectations, builds a special relationship with the audience.
The album is available as a digital edition on all streaming platforms as well as on CD in the Croatia Records Webshop.
