The 12th regional guitar festival "Na putu za jug", organized by the Pavarotti Music Center from Mostar, will start on Saturday, August 1, with the promotion program of the guitar festival and the debut album "Domaće neprskano", by last year's winning band "Splesh".
The performances of the finalist bands are scheduled for 21:00, and the band "Limunati" from Mostar and the band "Bezxsluha" from Zenica will perform on the first evening. The first evening of the 12th guitar festival "Na putu za jug" will end with a concert by the bands "Splash" (Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina) and "Congulus" (Istanbul, Turkey).
Entrance to the first evening of Guitar Jam is free.
On the second day of the Guitar Festival, on Sunday, August 2, at 11:00 a.m., a member of this year's jury, a well-known musician and music producer, Dado Džihan, will hold a master class workshop in music production. The workshop will be held in studio "A" of the Pavarotti Music Center and will be open to the public, and all interested musicians and music producers can participate in it.
The competition program of the second evening starts at 20:30, and the remaining three finalist bands will perform: "Kult pult" (Zagreb, Croatia), "John Morrow" (Varaždin, Croatia) and "Matori nek sjednu" (Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina).
The jury, which will be chaired by the guitarist of the Sarajevo band "Letu Stuke", Emir Jugo, will decide on the best band, the best guitarist, the best vocalist, the best bass guitarist and the best drummer. The main prizes are a seven-day recording session in Studio "A" of the Pavarotti Music Center for the best band, and a gift voucher in the amount of 800 KM for the best guitarist. Both main prizes are provided by the Pavarotti Music Center, while the gift vouchers in the amount of 300 KM for the best vocalist, the best bass guitarist and the best drummer were provided by the permanent sponsor of the Gitarijade, "Music Shop Brothers". Along with Emir Juga and Dada Cihan, there will also be a musician from Mostar, Mili Tiro, in the jury.
After the announcement of the winner, the performance of the legendary Darko Rundek Quartet awaits us, which should appear on the stage of the Pavarotti Center at 10:30 p.m.
The ticket price for the second evening of the Gitariade is 30.00 KM.
The program of the third day of the Guitar Festival (Monday, August 3) will begin with the screening of the documentary film "Grandpa Guru". The projection will take place in the multimedia hall of the Pavarotti Center, starting at 19:00. "Grandpa Guru" is a portrait documentary that shows the continuity of the work of the band "Kultur Shock" in an eclectic style. The moderator is Ronald Panza.
At 9:00 p.m., a concert by the band "Violeta Pepermint" (Rijeka, Croatia) awaits us, and an hour later, the Belgrade pop attraction "Koi Koi" (Belgrade, Serbia) will take the stage.
