Belgrade hip-hop artist Sajsi MC has released a new single and video titled "Pucala bih ti u", officially announcing her upcoming studio album planned for September this year.
The new single analyzes the great and passionate love between men and their cars in a specific way and through a satirical prism. Sajsi MC created the recognizable lyrics and melody in collaboration with her closest musical collaborator, producer Andrija Gavrilović (A.N.D.R.).
"It was incredibly fun to write such lyrics and compose the melody with Andrija's help," said Saisi MC on the occasion of the premiere.
Since the theme of the song required an innovative visual approach, the director of the video, Dušan Mrđen, decided to use new technology, Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, which are increasingly taking their place in the public sphere. Through a first-person perspective, the video functions as a video-epilogue to the song itself, bringing an authentic atmosphere and dynamics.
"We knew we needed a completely different approach to the presentation because the text is a bit humorous, and that's where Dušan (Mrđen, editor-in-chief) had a great idea to change the perspective from which we experience the story. The director of photography, Aleksandar Anđelković, put the camera, i.e. glasses, on his face and entered the role of a man who is my partner and loves his car, and because of that he received the lessons that you can see in the video," said Scy MC about the new video project.
This single is also a prelude to a new studio album that will be released in September. Although the main musical collaborator on the project is again A.N.D.R., Saisy MC emphasizes that the material is extremely diverse and cannot be compared to any of her previous releases.
The single and video "Pucala bih ti u" are available on all digital streaming platforms and the official YouTube channel from August 24th.
