The song "Ljubavni vibrafon", one of the most notable compositions from the album "Oluja" (The Tempest), created for the theater play of the same name by William Shakespeare directed by Vita Taufer, also received a video shot in the space of the social cooperative Humana Nova from Čakovec.
The song is performed by Ružica Maurus and Lovro Rimac, actors who marked the theatrical performance performed at the Dubrovnik Summer Games with their interpretations. The music and lyrics of the song are written by Ivanka Mazurkijević and Damir Martinović Mrle, while Darko Terlević (The Siids) is responsible for the arrangement. "Ljubavni vibrafon" brings a gentle and poetic musical story that combines theater and music, and its screen adaptation additionally emphasizes the themes of closeness, humanity and connection.
"The text for 'Ljubavni vibrafon' is a combination of Shakespeare's texts that I collaged with the help of dramatist Vesna Dikanović. An incredible love quadrangle - Mrle and Ivanka, Ružica and Lovro, the spouses from 'Ljubavni vibrafon'! We gave Shakespeare the imprint of the musical within his still unsurpassed declarations of love. I hope that everyone will fall in love with each other and with this song," said Ivanka Mazurkijević.
The video was directed by Radislav Jovanov Gonzo, who translated the atmosphere of the song into a visual story set in the unique space of Humana Nova, a non-profit eco-social enterprise from Čakovec that has been successfully connecting environmental protection, circular economy and social inclusion since 2011. Through the collection, reuse and recycling of textiles and the employment of people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, Humana Nova has become one of the most recognizable examples of social entrepreneurship in Croatia. Today, it employs more than 60 people, a significant part of which is made up of people with disabilities and people who find it difficult to join the labor market.
The visual identity of the video relies precisely on the authentic space of Humana Nova, a place where discarded materials get a new life, and social responsibility becomes part of everyday work. Such an environment naturally builds on the message of the song, which talks about encounters, understanding and the creation of new values.
"Ljubavni vibrafon" is on the album Oluja, whose musical signature is carried by Ivanka Mazurkijević and Damir Martinović Mrle. The album was created for the performance of the same name, which premiered at the 75th Dubrovnik Summer Games, and after the digital release, it was recently released on vinyl.
