After global success and a string of hits, Teddy Swims presents new single "Mr. Know It All" (Warner/Mascom), released in anticipation of his debut performances at Coachella and Stagecoach Music Festival.
The new song marks the beginning of a new artistic phase in which Swims continues to share personal experiences through music, exploring the emotional and psychological layers of contemporary relationships.
"The song Mr. Know It All explores the idea that love can become a self-affirming contradiction. When we believe we already know how something will end, we protect ourselves by withdrawing - and that very distance becomes the reason a relationship fails. On the other hand, when we try to defy that fate and control every outcome, we can suffocate the relationship itself. The song is about how both fear and the need to control can quietly destroy something real. Basically, it was inspired by the concepts of Robert K. Merton on self-defeating and self-confirming prophecy, also known as the 'prophet's dilemma,'" Teddy said.
