“Na pola pat”: caught between leaving and staying

North Macedonian indie-pop duo DUPER return with their new single and video “Na pola pat”, a track that captures the all-too-familiar feeling of being stuck between two choices – to leave or to stay, to move forward or to turn back.

Written and composed by Boris Kakurinov and Ilčo Nečovski, with arrangement by Kakurinov, the song continues the duo’s signature minimal yet emotionally resonant sound. Their approach relies on subtle production layers that enhance the introspective mood without overwhelming it.

Directed by Trifun Sitnikovski, the accompanying video visually translates the idea of limbo and indecision through carefully crafted scenes and effects. Cinematography is handled by Boris Ralev, while editing and visual effects are done by Gorjan Atanasov in collaboration with the director.

Over the past few years, DUPER have emerged as one of the more distinctive voices of the new North Macedonian scene, building a recognizable style through simple yet evocative songs that resonate across the region.
