Irish Duo Rónán Ó Snodaigh & Myles O’Reilly Blend Music and Film in the Subtle “The Crackling Radio”

Irish artists Rónán Ó Snodaigh and Myles O’Reilly have released a new single and video, “The Crackling Radio”, as a preview of their upcoming collaborative album Mise Tusa, set for release on May 1st.

Written by Ger Wolfe, the track unfolds through a gentle, almost meditative atmosphere, built on organic textures and a minimalist arrangement. "The Crackling Radio" functions as a poetic meditation on memory and transience, using the crackling radio motif as a metaphor for fragile but warm moments from the past.

The recording also features Peter Broderick (strings, drums, musical saw) and Cliodhna Quinlan (violin, backing vocals), adding depth and nuance to the sound.

Directed by O’Reilly himself, the video mirrors the song’s emotional subtlety, with performances by Seamie Sean and Milly Bustard, emphasizing intimacy and quietness as central themes of the project.

Mise Tusa is available for pre-order via Claddagh Records.
