American singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey has released her new single “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter”, a preview from her upcoming tenth studio album, Stove. The track was co-written with her husband Jeremy Dufrene, her sister Chuck Grant, and brother-in-law Jason Pickens, and produced with longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff.
The song blends gothic country with orchestral pop, featuring evocative, surreal lyrics about deep romance, opening with lines like “He’s my white feather hawk tail deer hunter…”.
An official music video has also dropped, showcasing striking imagery including Del Rey placing her head in an oven, with a cameo from her husband.
This marks the third single from Stove, following “Henry, Come On” and “Bluebird,” and is cited by Del Rey as her favorite track on the project.
