Podgorica's band Yonic released a new song, in collaboration with rapper Random.
"Stara varoš" combines alternative rock and hip-hop, but also motifs of traditional city songs. The eclectic sound of Yonic brings energy, and Random's original manuscript comments on the city's reality, making us wonder what Ksenija Cicvarić would say about Podgorica today.
The original sound additionally spiced up the video, which thematizes the contemporary city context but also the past of the city that Ksenia sang.

The band Yonic was founded in 2017 and has released the album "Infinite Loop", from which the song Cobra stood out, which entered the top 10 songs at the contest of the Milan Mladenović Foundation.
This song was also part of the project "Montenegro cities through time", which shows archival footage of the Montenegrin Cinematheque. "Stara varoš" announces the second album, the release of which is planned for this year.
The band consisting of Miraš Šljivančanin (vocals and guitar), Marko Gošović (synth), Filip Ferdinandi (bass) and Vukša Vujošević (drums) performed independently at the Podgorica Pazar, FIAT, DEUS, "Rokumentarni dani", Zabjelo Culture Festival and Podgorica clubs.
