KOIKOI presented the video for the single "Urnišu me šume"

A big Zagreb and Belgrade concerts and a European tour mark the year 2026

The band KOIKOI, currently the most exciting name on the regional indie rock scene, has released a music video for the song "Urnišu me šume", an introspective and powerful piece that visually rounds out the world of their current album.

This video carries special symbolism because it represents a re-collaboration with the director Mina Đukić, who directed the band's first video for the song "Ogledalo je szlalo", which closes the creative circle of KOIKOI Kolektiv in the most beautiful way.

The song "Urnišu me šume" represents the very core of the album - to the extent that the release almost bore its name, since it conveys the atmosphere and emotion that permeates all the songs. Through repetitive, mantric verses created during a jam session, this song explores a moment in which nature, instead of a place of peace and escape, becomes a space of anxiety and an essential encounter with oneself.

"Working on the music video for 'Urnišu me šume' was an exciting intuitive journey into the regions between music and image. By playing together, wandering and discovering, we tried to convey the impression of the song and its cyclicality and to break through the cracks in the everyday back to the intimate beauty and darkness from which the songs are born. The desire is that the joint effect of music and image triggers the need to listen to the song again and again, and watch the video again and again. Happy listening on repeat, so the songs become hits, and the images are etched in the memory!" said director Mina Đukić.

The frontman of the band, Marko Grabež, emphasizes that "Urnišu me šume" as a motif or play on words came about as an instinct, and that it was Mina's aesthetic that was necessary for the song to get its full meaning: "'Close to life' is a motif that often haunts me, and I believe that it is somewhat related to life and being in cities. The forest is something big and terrible, because you cannot hide behind the characters you present to the community. How much that motif holds for me and how important it is to me for the entire album is also shown by the fact that was the alternative name for the album of the same name. I am very happy that Mina Djukić recorded a video for this song, because as a band we immediately recognized that her aesthetics, way of thinking, conveying emotions through images is what is necessary for this song to get its full meaning and become a rounded whole. An emotional and introspective visual expression was needed to round off this important whole."

Along with director Mina Đukić, the team behind this video consists of director of photography Đorđe Arambašić, producers Marija Orlić and Katarina Bugarin, editor Olga Košarić, colorist Nikola Marinković and costume designer Suna Kažić.

The new video comes at a time when the album "About happiness in dreams" received the highest professional recognition - it was declared the best regional album of 2025 by the Ravno do dna portal and by regional critics.

Also, KOIKOI continues to break into the European market by officially joining the prestigious agency EBB Music (Netherlands/UK), thus standing side by side with world artists, including Altin Gün.

The focus of the band in the coming period is on big concerts, on February 28 at the Culture Factory in Zagreb and on March 27 at the Hangar in Belgrade. These performances are conceived as complex audio-visual performances where direction and light play an equal role with music, raising the level of concert production on home soil.

KOIKOI will also perform at the prestigious festivals FOCUS Wales in Great Britain and Pohoda in Slovakia, and a series of performances at other major European festivals is expected to be announced soon.
