Muzzik travels far but it's worth it: Cobweb - Jay Nepal

Nepalese rock pioneers Cobweb have released a new song titled “Jay Nepal”, accompanied by a powerful visual directed by the creative collective Kathacharya. The video is conceived as a short film, relying on mood, symbolism and emotional storytelling rather than a straightforward performance format.

The video is directed, edited and color-graded by Shashank Thapa Magar, with Gaurav Kumar Tamang serving as creative director and Sudin Sundar Bajracharya as executive producer. Together, they deliver a visually striking piece that reinforces the song’s strong sense of identity and connection.

Formed in the early 1990s, Cobweb are widely regarded as one of the most influential bands in the history of Nepal’s rock scene. As early trailblazers, they helped introduce contemporary rock music to a wider audience in the country, shaping the sound of an entire generation. Their return with new material marks a significant moment, reaffirming their legacy and continued relevance on today’s music landscape.
