Legendary Macedonian darkwave/post-punk band Mizar have released a new track, “Vardar e Stiks”, accompanied by a striking music video directed by Aleksandar Ristovski Princ.
The music was written by Gorazd Capovski, with arrangement by Capovski and Niko Gjorgievski, who also penned the lyrics and co-produced the track. Production credits go to Gjorgievski and Capovski, reaffirming the band’s long-standing internal creative synergy.
Active since the 1980s, Mizar are one of the most influential names in Macedonian and regional alternative music, known for blending dark post-punk aesthetics with ethno elements and deeply symbolic, often myth-inspired themes. “Vardar e Stiks” continues this tradition, portraying the river Vardar as a metaphysical boundary, carried by the band’s signature ritualistic and atmospheric sound.
