During the previous years at the European Festival Awards competition, EXIT won awards for its other innovative and socially engaged projects. Among them, last year's prestigious EFA Take a Stand Award for the "Live Live" campaign in cooperation with UNICEF is highlighted, which recognized and honored the success of a socially engaged project dedicated to solving the current problem of digital addiction among young people, through a series of campaigns that are still being implemented today.
We should also mention the distinction that went to Exit's Sea Dance Festival in 2015 for the Best European medium-sized festival. Also, Exit's Belgrade rave marathon No Sleep Festival, which won the title of Best New Festival in Europe in 2019, achieved significant success within the EFA. In addition to notable successes at the EFA competition, EXIT has also been awarded at other European and regional awards.
The awards include the British Festival Awards, where it was declared the Best European Festival in 2007, then the title of Best European Festival 2016 in the selection of the European Best Destinations platform, as well as the highest recognition of the Council for Regional Cooperation, which declared EXIT the Champion of Regional Cooperation in Southeast Europe in 2017.
The laureates of the European Festival Awards will be announced at the opening of the Eurosonic Noorderslag festival, which this year takes place from January 14 to 17 in Groningen, while the list of all categories and finalists is available on the official website of the European Festival Awards. For years, ESNS has been one of the key European meeting places for the music industry and an important platform for the presentation of new talents, thus occupying a central place in shaping future trends on the European music scene.
