Regionally recognized Ida Prester will perform with her band on July 22 at the Port of Belgrade (Luka Beograd), Open Air corner, as the "opening act" for the famous Joss Stone, organized by the Long Play production company. The concert of the popular British soul & rnb singer will, in this way, be enriched by another charismatic, recognizable female vocalist and the energy that Ida brings to every performance.
After a long career with the band Lollobrigida, along with participation in several other stylistically diverse musical projects, Ida Prester released the long-awaited debut solo album "Sad" in 2024. Admittedly, the audience was already familiar with most of the material - the first single "Minuta" was presented back in 2019. A series of very well-received songs followed - "Dodir", "Kvar", "Summer Love", "Sutra", "Šansa", "Budalo", "70"... All of them, together with old hits, are sung in unison at concerts, so there is no doubt that it will be the same on July 22 in Port of Belgrade.
Ida points out: "Even though we've been taking a bit of a break lately because we're working on new material, we didn't want to miss the opportunity to perform with Joss. The woman is a serious legend. When I first heard her, I was fascinated by how, as a teenager from a small town, she managed to sound like she carried the entire history of soul within her. Sharing the stage with someone who said 'This is me' so early and so loudly is a reminder of why I'm doing music in the first place. I can't wait to share that energy with audience - no filter, no restraint".
In a career spanning more than two decades, Presterova profiled herself as one of the most recognizable regional public figures, with a significant contribution not only in music, but also in the media and through social activism. She also left a big mark as a television host and author of shows dealing with contemporary social issues. She stands out as a vocal advocate of social responsibility, speaking publicly on issues of mental health, parenting, women's rights...
The concert of world star Joss Stone on July 22 in the Port of Belgrade will be her first performance in the Serbian capital, as part of the "Less Is More" tour. Joss returns to our country 10 years after the famous closing of the 2016 Nišville Festival.
